Welcome to the first episode of Rhythm of Life!
Rhythm of Life is a scriptural celebration of the life of Christ and His church, using the Common Lectionary. In this inaugural episode, Rev. Kevin Parviz of Congregation Chai v’Shalom (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) in St. Louis, Missouri, sat down with parishioner Melissa Trippeer to discuss the beauty and efficacy of the annual celebration of Jesus’ life as given in the Holy Scriptures. They each relate their love and appreciation for the pattern of the church year as outlined by the scripture portions given in the Common Lectionary. Pastor Kevin explains the format of the lectionary he developed for use at Chai v’Shalom, drawing on the familiar pattern of Hebrew readings he experienced growing up in Judaism.
